My rule of thumb is that if it's outside it's wildlife, but if it's inside it's a pest.

thanks Matt, somehow I'm getting less scared outside.
The first one is taken with my Canon S95 Point and Shoot, the second one with my Nikon D90 and the 105mm lens.
I was really surprised with the S 95 and love it.

These are some interesting spider stories. I had two separate Brown Recluse encounters in our local Hilton, NY produce department when I worked there. Only one, however, was dead on arrival. Of course I knew these particular boxes were from South America, but none of the managers seemed to be worried, as my hands were the only ones reaching inside.
My girlfriend always yells at me for getting closer to creepy crawlers once we stumble upon them.
I don't have a fear of any critter (snake, spider, lion, tiger, etc.)
So long as it isn't chasing me.
The Architect.

i like your composition
Brown Reclusive Spiders - not good. I would be totally scared.
But I'm only scared of spiders, everything else is okay and I don't care.

yet another reason to be thankful you life in NY, where the weather prevents spiders from becoming huge.
I think the biggest house spider I was was about an inch.

I think the biggest spiders we have here are Nursery web spiders.
