I have several cobweb spiders (family: Theridiidae) living on my office porch, and I noticed this pair tag-teaming a wasp outside my window earlier. The little guy did most of the work, but she came down to assist periodically. Achaearanea species?

Help!! I found those two spiders in my garden. I hope they are not harmful.
This big one is floating in my rain water bucket and looks dead. But every time I walk near the bucket, it tries to jump towards me!!!
I'm so scared of spiders and don't know how to get rid of it.
And those two guys are fighting each other. I don't know if they are harmless or not...
Does anyone know what spiders I have in my garden?

If you put a stick in the bucket, the spider will just climb out if it's still able...While most spiders can bite if provoked, they'd truly rather flee and very very few are dangerous.
I can't positively identify your spiders, but I can assure you that they're harmless.

Are there any dangerous spiders in upstate NY? I don't think there are.
It must be spider season. I spotted 3 large ones in the parking lot at wegmans yesterday then two larger ones on my wall at home.

I think that the cool weather is making them look for warmer digs. Every now and them you'll hear about a Brown Recluse being spotted, but they've likely hitched a ride from more southern regions. There are members of the widow family as far north as southern Canada, but the Black Widow is only in warmer areas too. There are many more fatalities in the US and Canada from wasp and bee stings than from spiders and scorpions. I've known of folks down south who have been bitten/stung by both and while it wasn't a good time, they didn't die (maybe just wished they did at the time).

Mrs. Spider is getting really fat!!
She is eating so many insects and gets bigger and bigger every day. Even the web is increasing in its size!!
I have this Orb Weaver for weeks now on my deck and in the beginning it really was a small little spider.
As long as they are outside my house I don't care and like to watch them in their web.
