So i was cleaning up files and forgot how much I loved this spot and never did anything with this pic. Like finding a Christmas present wrapped, in a pocket of the car, but never given to my wife.

So much history. Much of it lost on us today. Columbia is wildly poor. Two distinct classes. The drug cartels changed everything. I did not see a car in Bogota or Columbia, that is not parked outward, so you never have to pull a reverse in an emergency.

 wow
I am strong, because I've been weak.
I am fearless, because I've been afraid.
I am wise, because I've been foolish.

That's an amazing shot.
I have coworkers in Venezuela. It's so bad there, they cross into Columbia to do their shopping.
I would love to check out the tropical forests in that region, but fear malaria and being kidnapped.

Were you down there for business or tour?

That's a beautiful photo...and I imagine the view all around was breathtaking. :)

Thank you.
I was down there for a wedding and stole away to this tropic area that I will never forget. Pretty sure I posted, but here are some. Columbia has so much variety. It reminds me how insulated I am in my thinking. Truly. That is the lure of photography. To be stolen away from yourself in awe. Did anyone in Rochester see the sunset tonight? 12.12.12. One of the most beautiful I have ever seen here. We get very few that grab you or are an award winning sunset. Tonight, Dave is wrong....again!

most likely bad macros and big bugs

Tayrona National Park. Very safe, guided tours that are reasonable. Truly native indians, tropics to ocean. Google it. What a find. An inexpensive find except for the flight!
