Bar Harbor Maine. Very very beautiful place. Rugged coastline, ponds, and lakes and mountains. Trails maintained to perfection. It is a long drive but worth it if you can get away early in the morning and late in the afternoon. It may be worth studying a map and tides, and sunset and sunrise times, cause the early sun and late sun there has a very golden quality about it. Maybe a ocean thing.

Amazing shots! I'd love to go there some day.

Thanks guys. Go! It is not as grand as Big Sur, but for the East coast, I not certain there is better coastal location, especially with so much variety of mountains and lakes along a rugged coastline. LONG drive...12 hours.
