Chenango Canal Aqueduct

This aqueduct once went over the Oriskany Creek and entered lock 76 on the Chenango Canal. It now empties into the Oriskany Creek. The stone work was done by the Irish and Scottish immigrants who settled here. The aqueduct is located on Canal Rd. just west of the village of Solsville. There is enough parking for three or four cars. It’s also a good trout fishing area. The old lock is just east of the aqueduct last time I was their it wasn’t cleared out but you can see the limestone walls.

I was surprised to find this one on the site. I didn't think anyone else would know about this one. Found this spot when i was a little kid riding around with my Dad. Stopped here with my kids last weekend ( in the rain ). Looks like i got pretty much the same angles.
