The first night we walked down to Battery Park. The Statue of Liberty was clearly visible (with a 600mm reach )
Unexpectedly, a fireworks show happened just to the east.
at 9 they shut off the falls
This is Pier 17, which has a mall on it. Our hotel was a few blocks away
