Walking sticks are one of the few insects that don't creep me out. Very cool.

Don't like things crawling on me....even when I know what it is....think the towel was a good ideaBrenda wrote:Mike spotted this walking stick on my office porch this morning. I tried to get a photo of me holding it, but the darn thing was too fast--up my arm, on my head, down my back... I had to settle for a photo of it on a towel on the floor, where it would finally stay still:
Have not seen one in years~thanks for sharing - very nice~~

I have never seen one in person. I may have walked by many in my time, but never noticed.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

I'm always pleased to be reminded those things live in this region. Very cool.

It must be a really good year for them. I've seen more in the past few weeks than I have in my entire life.

You had me for a minute there! When I saw the post I was thinking, "Spring is right around the corner, but what could he possibly be photographing now?" Unless of course, you just returned from some tropical locale. Love the mantis!
