I just stumbled across this video. I'm not sure what to think of it. It looks to be a student project of some sort. I'm not quite sure what National Parks have to do with National Forests, and most of it wasn't even shot in the Forest. Recruitment video? For what? If it was for the National Forest System as a whole, it would be one thing, but we only hire a few seasonals a year at best. It is interesting, I'll give it that. I will say that I hand painted every one of those signs that are shown from the FLNF. :thankyou:

Brenda,

Lodi is a pretty small town. You and any five of your friends could probably take it over. The idea that conservation means a smaller tax base is perhaps true, but the greater factor is that conservation means less demand for municipal services. In most areas, it takes extremely large lots with very pricey homes in order for the taxes to pay the way of the residents. A typical residential development is going to generate more significantly more municipal expense than it does tax revenue.
