So I was thinking late Spring may be a better for the event this year. What do you think?
Here's what I have in mind:
I think Letchworth or some camping park would be suitible... so people from a long distance off can rent a cabin. Letchworth is great because there are many sites for camping and picnicing- and it's a great attraction that I think is worth the trek.
I'll bring my own grill... and get things cooked faster
The grill was soaked last year and the fire just didn't get hot enough until we stuffed it with napkins (which brought out that fresh grilled napkin flavor)
At any rate, I should plan to have more grilling capacity and perhaps some warmers to keep things hot.
We'll have Chicken Kabobs (a specialty of mine)
Dorito bar (10 flavors of Doritos)
Everyone brings a dish to pass
Yes, there will be nyfalls.com party favors and small gifts for team members.
Then a hike somewhere.
Thoughts? Ideas?
Does a weekend in late May sound good?

Maybe the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend? A lot of people may be out of town for the holiday weekend.
We could even do 2 picnics this year. May and September/October.

When planning, bear in mind that Memorial Day falls on the 26th this year.

How about a survivorman themed picnic where you have to trap or forrage for your dish to pass?
