Andy, the first three of those pics aren't coming up for me.


The Locus Borer looks like a wingless wasp, but is a longhorn beetle. The larve chew up under the bark of black locust trees. The adults feast upon the pollen of goldenrod.

The Red Legged locust (female pictured) is one of those swarming locusts that munch down on leafy green crops.

This one won't win any awards, but I wanted to show what a 3mm tick looks like. I just pulled this one off my golden retriever! These are a real problem here in Thailand. They are not cause for concern about disease, but even using tick medicines I routinely pull off a dozen per day per dog during rainy season. Ugh.
