Awkward trackpad placement, likely resulting in unintentional keyboard action.
Turns out Acer thinks a trackpad is unnecessary. That design wouldn't be for me, but to each his own.

Yeah, that is different. I'm not to crazy about the current trend of "let's put a touch screen on everything, just because it's cool" That and the fact that Microsoft apparently thinks that's what everyone wants because Windows 8 is so geared towards touch screens. Have you tried to use a desktop running windows 8 with a mouse? A friend had one and complained about how the menus are so different from anything previous so I installed Classic Shell for them, and set it to Windows 7 mode.
