Just a reminder to all the spectators. Lack of a DSLR paired with a dedicated macro lens is not an excuse not to participate. I have yet to use either. Not a lecture. Just a fact. Please join in. Kyle?

These are all so great, I have been spectating.
Are you using your s95 Kelly? Definitely some very minuscule detail you are capturing.
I have actually tried to get some pics, but they aren't even close to close up let alone macro. Just don't think my current capabilities meet the challenge so havent shared. It would kind of be like submitting an image of a landscape when the challenge was architecture imo.

Not the S95. The A 480. My (once) $89 snowflake camera. No longer made and going for $300 on Amazon. Crazy. Looking at Canon's A series lineup, none of their current models have the super macro capabilities this one has (closest focusing distance of a mere .4 inch). I don't know why they stopped. It's really disappointing. Still affordable for now, though no longer being made are the comparable A 490 and A 495 for anyone looking for super macro capabilities without the sizeable investment in a macro lens for your DSLR. One of the best photographic bangs for my buck ever. (Actually got it with my Capture Rochester winnings. )hobkyl wrote:Are you using your s95 Kelly?
