We have a winner!
(sorry about the late judgement)

Kelly took my surprise topic and ran with it. Yes, she brought in a ringer, the creativity of the mustache scenes paid off.
i like this one because the curve of the silhouette both compliments and contrasts with the musical notation in the background.

This is a total of 9 wins for her (she is only allowed to win the challenge topics I come up with on my own - not the ones she helps with).

Nice job Kelly. I like how the "rule" of thirds was ignored, yet the image is balanced.

Thank you guys and gals. I appreciate it. Besides winning, there were actually several other nice outcomes to my participation in this challenge.

My mustache model friend and I agreed that in exchange for his help with my mustache challenge photo shoot - I would help him with his entry in another contest. He wanted to enter a national contest for weavers. He wove fabric and had a seamstress stitch it into a vest which I then photographed 3 views of. Front, back and detail of the fabric. We knew early on that he was chosen as a semifinalist, but just learned yesterday that he won! The vest will be featured in the September issue of the magazine that sponsored the contest. (The article won't contain my pics. They will hire professional models and photographers for the shoot.)

An article about him, a couple of years old.....but interesting nonetheless. Talented and passionate guy.

And here are small versions of the shots he submitted. Nothing artistic - just documentary. It's woven with silk and gold threads. Crazy!
