Well, Kyle... I didn't PERSONALLY install it! hahaha
But yes...the guys I work with did... Sustainable Energy Developments...our office is located right next door. Harbec Plastic is actually our landlord.
It was a great project for us and one we had been working on for well over a year before we actually started on construction. There was some opposition on the Town of Ontario council...but in the end...approval was granted and we were all thrilled to see this going up. I don't often get to see our wind turbine projects going up...they are too far from the office in general...so having this one so close was a special treat...I was there every day taking pictures of the various steps...from the foundation to the tower sections to the rotor and blades (which went up after dark in a dazzling spotlight filled event that had cars slowing down on 104!!). It will soon be spinning and creating power...a few more tweaks next week and then the week after, should be good to go.

Oh,I didn't realize it wasn't operational yet. Was your company running tests on it? I though I saw the blades spinning the other week.

John works right there as well (Basket Rd). Y'all should do lunch. I'd even make the trek.

Kyle...yes...they had a "witness test" a week or so ago I think...and the blades are turning slightly on their own in the wind now...but it won't be fully operational for another week or so. They have to make some adjustments to the rotor so you may see that coming down next week ...and going back up. Then it will be TWO turbines harvesting the wind there.
Sounds like a great idea, Kelly... would love to meet up sometime.

Ok so I wasn't hallucinating. I was working at the water treatment plant on Basket Rd, however that chapter has come to a close. Where does John work?
