These days a hotel can be an attraction in itself. Great Wolf Lodge and others carry their own indoor waterparks, spas, game arcades and array of restaurants. The US side definitely needs a resort complex with family activities of its own. Although the cCanadian side has at least 3 hotels already that feature indoor waterparks. We missed the boat on that years ago when one was build in Eire in lieue of Niagara Falls.

One way to save it would be to freeze it over and make it an ice skating/hang gliding theme park

I've never visited in the winter.....
Perhaps I shall.
Perhaps I shall.
I am strong, because I've been weak.
I am fearless, because I've been afraid.
I am wise, because I've been foolish.

I'll join you. I would love to see it frozen. Also I heard giant ice junks were flowing over the Canadian falls.Kelly wrote:I've never visited in the winter.....

It seems like that press release the state did over the "Polar Vortex" brought in a nice amount of tourism for the falls.
I have always been wanting to go there during a nice freeze and make a gallery, but I didn't even think of it last week. Oh well. next time.

Probably my favorite photo of the American falls was of it frozen in 1911(?). It was in our hotel room when we stayed at the falls in Canada.
Matt, you should definitely do a frozen gallery. Especially since you like the cold so much!
