I discovered an animal skull in the woods (Grafton Mountains -- east of Albany, NY; west of Berkshires). Could you identify the animal for me? (Photo attached.)

yellow/orange teeth are a big indicator of a rodent. If they are bright orange, then something closely related to a beaver.
But you give no other angles, no size information, so it's tough to pinpoint exactly which species.
It looks large, so either a beaver or nutria

My guess also, beaver or woodchuck. More pictures of the teeth, especially. Someone at the NYS Museum would probably know, or just look around their exhibits, they probably have some on display.

If you found it anywhere near water, then probably beaver, out in the woods, near a field edge maybe, probably woodchuck.

It's always helpful to place something else in the photo for size reference. A ruler or yardstick is good for larger things, and a coin works well for smaller objects.

A standard sized piece of pie works for medium sized objects and tempts the viewer's sweet tooth. :yum:
