I hike from the Visitor Center to the upper falls. 3 miles, maybe - Then back.

Afterwards, anyone who survives can head to the Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale for food and people watching.
OCTOBER 6, 7 & 8, 2012 are possible dates.

A fall hike at Letchworth - I'm up for. On a day that the park is jammed with that many people and cars, I'm not. Guess I'll pass.

it will be jammed with people at the uplands near the pool. And cars at the north entrance. There will be a bit more than normal amount of people at the popular stops.
The trails will be average for that time of year.
