you didn't care for the niagara mist? i love that one.

Well, as Niagaras go, it was ok - not bad - but not the best out there. Glenora Niagara is what I will have to compare all Niagaras to now. I don't think I'll find a tastier one. Wish I had found the best sooner...but sometimes that's how my life works.

William Vigne 2010 Seneca Lake Juicy Sweet Reisling 3.5/5 Pretty good - the more you drink, the better it tastes.

Heron Hill 2008 Eclipse Red - 0/5 Honestly bought it for the bottle which is beautiful. And to go with a lovely corned beef and cabbage dinner. I'm not ready for a wine this dry. Probably won't ever be. But I've got a nice bottle.



Bully Hill Le Goat Blush - 3/5 Nothng wrong with it. Just didn't knock my socks off. Didn't buy it myself - served by dinner host.

Eagle Crest Vineyards - Niagara

1/5 - How is it possible to ruin a Niagara grape? Horrible. If I wanted cough medicine, that's what I would have purchased. The color is even off.

I've never known the Hemlock, Canadice, Consesus wineries (3 of them, right?) to produce decent wines. The climates are not all that controlled by the small lakes, so they tend to get grape crops highly variable and unacceptable to weather changes.
I love a good Niagara and it was my fall-back wine. Good to know I need to avoid this one.

After my small stash of "to try" wines are gone - I am just going to enjoy my favorite red and my favorite white. That's it. Haven't found anything that even comes close to how good these taste.
