The 2009 Cabernet Franc presents a nose of roasted red pepper and prune that lengthens with oaky and spicy tones. On the palate, this wine displays great elegance with soft tannins and a smooth long finish.
I guess I'm just not a fan of one of the world's most popular grape/wine varieties. Although I caught on to the claimed "Oaky tones" that's really unavoidable in most wines from oak barrels. This smooth-yet-bitter dark concoction was strong with alcohol, and low on flavor. I have had a Cab-franc before that i enjoyed- this certainly wasn't it.

I can't imagine a Cab-franc that you would like, as they are typically quite dry. Perhaps it was a blend?

Here ya go: ChocoVine. I admit that I've become a little bit of a wine snob, so when I was recently given a bottle of this as a hostess gift I was incredulous. Shame on me! It is SO very yummy!
