2010 Rkatsiteli-Sereksiya
We are the only Sereksiya Rosé (pronounced “sir rex see uh”) producer in the USA and one of only two Rkatsiteli (pronounced “ur cots eh tell ee”) producers in the Finger Lakes. This wine is reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc (herbaceous), Riesling (fruit), and Gewürztraminer (spice). It is a light, crisp and refreshing wine and is best consumed over the next 1-2 years. (1.75%)

HA!! Coincidentally, I tried my first McGregor wine last night!
McGregor Vineyard - Sunflower White - 2/5
McGregor Vineyard - Sunflower White - 2/5
Not as sweet as I like, but for a semi-sweet, not horrrible. Billed as grapey and fruity. I would say it was neither.Sunflower White
This wine has a great “grapey” and fruity flavor with a crisp finish. This blend of Cayuga White, Diamond, Seyval and Chardonnay is a mouthwatering wine that’s perfect for picnics and everyday enjoyment! (2.75%)

Keuka Spring - Vignoles 2011 - 5/5
"A nose of passion fruit and orange blossom opens to a wine graced with aromas of juicy yellow plum and lemon peel. Dried apricot finish. Try it! Make sure you savor the bouquet by swirling and smelling before tasting. Sip this semi-sweet wine chilled, with lemon-roasted chicken or artichokes French, or with appetizers such as humus and pita or fresh vegetables and dip."

Just spent the last two days at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, camping at Watkins Glen SP. I didn't count how many wines we tasted, but I'm sure I would have lost count. We're partial to dry wines - with that in mind here is our best of show:
Keuka Spring Riesling
Standing Stone Reserve Chardonnay 2009
Standing Stone Merlot 2008
Glenora Gewurztraminer 2012
Lakewood Pinot Noir 2010
Thirsty Owl Chardonnay 2012
Penguin Bay Pinot Grigio
If you are interested in wine, I would highly recommend the festival. We attended a few seminars and talked extensively with the wine makers particularly from Standing Stone, Lakewood and Wagner. Fascinating stuff.
Cheers!

Dry, except for Riesling (off-dry)
Most of our preferences come from the east side of Seneca Lake, which has a micro-climate in the Hector area that is very favorable for producing top-notch wine.
