We stopped at the Glenwood Pines for lunch today while we were out running errands. Mike had the world famous Pinesburger!
Excellent restaurant.

I've been going there for years, and I've never once had a bad experience. I prefer going there for lunch, just because I tend to go a bit fancier when we go out to dinner, but their dinners are great too. I love the fact that they don't try to rape you on local wines. I had a glass of Wagner Merlot for $5.50, which is less than they sell it for by the glass at the Ginny Lee (the winery restaurant).

What is a Pinesburger?

I don't know that the burger itself is anything unique but it's Black Angus beef pressed fairly thin, served on fresh French bread with lettuce, tomato and onion and your choice of 1000 island or mayo. I'm not a big burger fan, but for whatever reason I just love Pinesburgers. I had the fried haddock sandwich yesterday, which is served basically the same way except without onions and with tartar sauce instead of dressing or mayo. The fish hung off both ends of the 6"(?) French loaf section.
