Great shots! I missed the supermoon. I don't know why. I just woke up the next morning in someone's backyard doghouse, my clothes were all ripped and blood was dripping from my mouth.

Tried again this morning, kinda just to see how much I'd need to change the settings (from what I used on the full moon) to capture this one correctly. So, yeah. A lot different.


Still handheld - Canon 7D, 400/5.6 L, 1/1600 sec, f/5.6, ISO 2000 - 6:15am

Kelly, with that lens, try stopping down to f/8 or even more for this type of work as it may get you optimal sharpness (though you may have to at least use a monopod like that).

I need a long telephoto lens. The longest I have right now is 70mm. Even with a 200mm, I think it would still be too far. I like the 400mm of Kelly's. Although I can't push the ISO on my 20D anywhere near the 7D. I'd have to use a tripod.
