wow, those are all great moon shots. :up: Wotto, the red color is awesome
I also tried to capture the moon. I wish I had a longer lens for it.

great shots. now is a good time to capture the half moon. It seems like when there is a bit of shadowing to the orb, it shows more detail and depth.

I agree Matt. When the moon is full and bright it doesn't show as much detail or depth.

Next week March 16-22nd. “The moon will be a little closer than it was last year, 1/4,000 of a percent closer. The distance between the Earth and the moon changes a lot in its orbit. Really the only change is that it appears bigger when it’s close. This coming full moon will be the brightest of the year.”

So it is the closest it has been in 18 years and the brightest. Full moon on the 19th. Hmmmm. Maybe worth a try . david
