It's mist from the heat of the geysers. Cool Place.

Matt, which falls is that?

Yellowstone is great. We spent a day there on our honeymoon. My wife called it "nature's funhouse".

Nice Shot. Were you close enough to get misted?
Yellowstone may be my next photo expedition. that or Glacier.

though I still have about 1,000 shots from Yosemite I haven't gone through yet.

I believe its Kepler Cascades, a bit south of Old Faithful....

Glacier NP is an AMAZING place. One of my favorite National Parks, I've probably spent 2 weeks there in the past few years.

Avalanche Lake - the gorge is pretty amazing too:

And when you're walking the trail to the lake, there's tons of this:

Many Glacier:

I love the park. I should write a review for it.

I'm surprised you guys really loved Yellowstone. Out of all the western parks, it's my least favorite. Too many people, too congested. It reminds me of a funhouse carnivale

I thought that looked like Kepler. We did stop at that falls and on the opposite cliff were two mule deer (?) who were on such a steep slope that I was sure one of them was going to slip and fall in. They must be really sure footed.

That one shot with all the moss on the forest floor looks like a rainforest we walked through at Olympic.

We liked Yellowstone a lot but it definitely wasn't our favorite. We hit 11 national parks on that trip. We were there in early September... (Sept 11 at Yellowstone to be exact.)... and the crowds weren't really bad at all. There was a little bit of traffic congestion where a grizzly and cub were crossing the road.

I went to Yellowstone in July of 2003 and i'm pretty sure that waterfall pic by Champy is Gibbons falls.
