Lodi Politics

Last Friday, it was brought to my attention that a sign had appeared on Route 414 at the south end of the village. I was told that the sign was extremely offensive, so I went to check it out for myself. Mike snapped a quick photo and I shared it with a few family and friends, one of whom happens to write for a local paper. She was asked to do an article about the sign and she in turn asked for my comments. The article was printed today. Anyone willing to take us in under witness protection? Seriously though, this behavior is exactly why the guy didn't get my vote and why Lodi is the brunt of so many jokes. Mind you, this sign was right on the wine trail!

You should have read his campaign flyer! He obviously didn't use spell check, or have someone proof read it for him.

About a week before election day, we received a full-color attack mailer against a candidate for a local office. The flyer consisted of photos of the candidate looking goofy, and the main text was just something like "Is this guy mature enough for public office?" It sourced the photos as pulled from Facebook and MySpace, but there was no "paid for by" statement. It was the most stupid thing I've ever seen. I think it made the opponent look worse than the guy they were attacking. I never did find out who won that race.

The attacker won the race. I agree - it was downright awful and it's actually what reinforced my decision that I needed to get my rear to the polls and vote - for the attackee!

Same thing here Kelly and Angel. It's not the first time that he's done this sort of thing. That, combined with the fact that he was let go from his last position with the town...The county Democratic committee published a statement the day before yesterday condemning his behavior as well.
