Marineland Pulls Advertising From Rochester--It's About the Border
(Rochester, N.Y.) - Marineland is one of the more popular Canadian summer destinations. You’ve heard it sung countless times -- “Every-One Loves! Marine-Land!”

But does Marineland love us?

For the first time in more than a decade Marineland has opted not to advertise in the Rochester area. Marineland executives say it is not a feasible investment in the wake of new passport requirements at the border.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security estimates only 20 percent of Americans owns any one of three critical passes to Canada: an enhanced driver's license, a passport card, or a passport book

"I could see it being a problem for a lot of people," said Jack Oster, as he renewed his own passport.
