A quick drive along route 20 (a great road) leads to Pratt's Falls in the village of Pompey, NY...I went there for the one brief moment we had snow this winter....It's a hard falls to get unique shots of because of the limits they place on where you can go into the gorge. If we ever get snow and cold weather, I'd like to go there later this season.

Great shots! I never though of going there in winter.
It's a great falls to get a shot of in the autum.
Very tough summer mid-days because fo all the light hitting the trees.

Discuss Pratts Falls and the surrounding area here.
went there over the weekend, i dont know that i would recomend it after winter has really been around for a while. you couldnt see alot of water due to all the ice and snow, mix that with lighting and a very icy walk to the base, i wasnt all that impressed. IMO its definatly a place to stick with durring the warmer weather.

Went there today. It looks like they are rebuilding the top of the falls, the look-out area... possibly with some CCC-style stonework. I wonder how this will effect flow.

Great shot Paul. Was that taken from the viewing platform?
