Actually, it was my husband who ended up deciding he liked the cast iron sink. At one point, I was debating between a nicer stainless steel or composite material. My gripe about our current sink is that it has two unequal basins, and the one with the garbage disposal - where I rinse and wash dishes - is tiny and shallow (bad). Of course, now that I've seen the cast iron in place (if only temporarily), I heartily agree that it is beautiful and will be much more convenient to use - two equal-size basins with a dropped divider. The real lesson here is the challenge of ordering online, but it was the only way we could get the exact model we wanted at a reasonable price.
