Adorama is having a sale on them for $4.95 ea. I am thinking of ordering some but to me that just seems like it would be way to big for your average photo. So how big is to big for prints?

I have a bunch of frames for 11x17- so I stick to that size... I can't imagine buying bigger frames.

I have some 16x20 frames that came with matting for like 10x16. I was just playing around with orders and realized that most of the pictures I have do not have the resolution needed to print that size with Adorama. Might be fun just to see a couple really big prints. I am hoping they have a 4x6 or 5x7 sale soon.

I've made some beautiful prints from my 6.1mp D50 at that size, don't let it scare you off! If you have a sharp image, with good contrast it will look awesome! These images aren't meant to be viewed from 6 inches away like a 4x6" print anywaysrem05749 wrote:I have some 16x20 frames that came with matting for like 10x16. I made some 12x16 prints from my D40 just fine. When I was playing with my photos that I had on Adorama it was not even letting me select the option for the 16x20. Oh well guess I will just use some of my newer photos.

you will need to up-sample the photos on your PC first before uploading to Adorama,- then the option will show up.
On the topic of upscaling, there's some amazing software out there that can increase the resolution of an image with superb results. I use [amazon= B000QXD2TC]Genuine Fractals[/amazon] here at work. If you wan to upscale an image to see how it does, just e-mail it to me, I'll be happy to do it.

I had looked at that program as a part of their Plug-In Suite 4 but I would end up spending more on that than I did for photoshop. I will have to check through my pictures again and see what ones I may want to do. Thanks for the offer. Do you use that program often? I have noticed on most of my pictures on Adorama rate in the mid-level region and there are some pictures where I have noticed pixelation at larger sizes.
