Matt,
I just saw your recent updated shots of Bucktail Falls. I've been driving by that spot for the last few months, building a house about a couple miles from there for someone. Further upstream a ways is another larger waterfall. If I remember right, it is similar to carpenter's falls, with an overhanging top, just not as tall. Friends of ours own most of the land up through there and years ago they took my wife and I on a hike up to see it. Very pretty.

Nice day for a road trip so my daughter and I went to Bucktail falls. Their is a overflow falls at the north end of Otisco Lake. I did not stop for pictures of the overflow I try and stay away from manmade falls. You would think Bucktail Falls in on the lake but it's not. It comes off the hill on the west side. The falls is right off the road with a somewhat flat wooded area to walk on.

Looks like you got there with some good flow. This is one of the first waterfalls I visited for this website and haven't been back since. I probably should next spring.

Water flow was just about right also being set back and on the west side the lighting was good for early afternoon. The first picture was shot at 3 sec. the rest at 2 sec. all shot with ISO 100, tripod and remote.

I was at Bucktail last weekend 10/20/2012. Water flow was very low. But I got shots of it.
