can anyone guide me on moniter calibration? I recently bought a new monitor my prints are printing much darker then what I see on the monitor

if you are having issues with prints, it could be either the printer, or the monitor, or both.
If the histogram for your photo checks out ok and the prints are dark, then it may be a printer issue. Make sure that ICS is enabled when you print.
Prints are generally darker than the screen, since the screen generates light. Paper reflects it.
Use ICS in the printer, then try brightening photos prior to printing.
