Have you noticed a special spot for birds, providing shelter, food, or water? It could be an ivy-covered wall, flowers next to a stoop, a window box, your school garden, or potted plants by a library entryway.
People of all ages are invited to enter our photo-video-art contest.
How to enter
1. Email your photo, art, or video entry to urbanbirds@cornell.
edu. Links are acceptable for videos.
2. Write “Little Green Places Photo Contest.”
3. Include your name and mailing address.
4. Tell us where your Little Green Place is (city, state or
province).
5. Tell us why it’s a good Little Green Place for birds.
6. Send us your entry before October 31, 2008.
Selected images will be posted on the Celebrate Urban Birds
website. By entering, you agree that you are granting the Cornell
Lab of Ornithology a royalty-free, perpetual license to use the
images for any purpose, including but not limited to publications,
websites, and commercial products benefiting our education,
outreach, and research programs.

"Send us your photos of kids, teens, young and older adults being active in all types of weather. Whether it’s hiking, swimming, skiing, playing organized sports, fishing or walking the dog, we want to show how people are outside enjoying Rochester weather!
The deadline for submissions is October 12, so don’t delay. You can send us up to 12 of your best photos using the highest resolution jpegs , not to exceed a file size of 3MB! Photos will be chosen by employees of WHEC-TV on or around October 24 and posted on our website and published in the calendar."
