I just got back from a trade show in Toronto and we decided to stop at Websters Falls just outside of Hamilton. It definitely didn't have as much water flowing as usual. It is 62 feet tall and flows over the Niagara Escarpment, same escarpment as Niagara Falls. Tews Falls is also nearby. About 1/2 mile away, which is 134 feet tall, but we didn't visit today.

Yes, there's a decent sized park there.

There's a bunch of other falls in the Hamilton area that are worth visiting.
Click on Waterfalls on the left side of that site. Albion, Borers, Sherman and Tiffany Falls are all good ones.

There may not be a lot of water, but it is still amazingly beautiful.
Next time I visit Webster and Tews falls, I'm going to hike to the gorge to see if I can get better shots. I'd like to improve on the shots I took a few years ago with my newer circular polarier filter.

Yes, indeed they are. Julie and I used to head to the Hamilton area to check out falls at least a few times a year but we haven't been there as much lately as we used to. What they fail to mention is that most of the streams in that area have a very small watershed. They're usually just dripping by July.
