That's a good tip.
I bought a suit. The first one I have ever owned.
No interviews yet though.
I applied to some jobs downstate at some popular internet companies. I can't find much around Rochester. ... search is expanding though. Just not enough time in the day.

I will be meeting with Break the Ice Media, who does a lot of marketing for Finger Lakes tourism businesses. They don't have openings, but it should be an enlightening discussion and help me get leads maybe. Thanks, Brenda, for the tip. Good practice for wearing a suit.

Good luck! While you are at it, you should discuss advertising opportunities on NYFalls with Finger Lakes tourism.

I think that there's a time and a place for everything, and soliciting advertising during an interview seems like poor form to me.

Not quite an interview... they aren't hiring... in fact.. not sure what it will be... but hoping to get some leads out of it. Maybe they know of a winery or someplace that is in need of someone. At the very least they can add me to their list of photography/design vendors.
