I got one - can join more groups, add more tags, upload a lot more.

I'd say its worth it

its not all about the space - mostly about the exposure....I've sold more prints on flickr than I ever have at any art show or anything else

I have a flickr pro account.

except i cannot use it anymore.

Because it is linked to your yahoo account i cannot access it..... as i cannot get into my original yahoo account...... somehow the password was changed.....(not by me) and if i try to log in to my flickr account it won't accept my NEW yahoo id AND the password reminds go to a dead email (old australian account)......

they are not particularly helpful in trying to sort it out.

I have tried MANY different approaches.

I use photobucket now....... linked to google... .cause i can blog images straight from photobucket to blogger.......

i guess i just lost faith in the whole yahoo security.... i was happy with it until then tho......

I decided to go for it a few weeks back. It has been helping to promote the site. I got the hang of Flickr and seem to be getting a good response for my photos. I have a lot that I could post, but i prefer to have most of them exclusives on this site.

I don't see very many pros on Flickr.
And there are a lot of junk photos on it. It's a lot like myspace where people just post comments to get their name out and friends list counter up.

I think as a site for families and friends to share photos, it is one of the best things on the net... for pro photographers it's kind of a threat to copyright.

I've been throwing around the idea of this, too. I have my photo blog -- but it's just a photo per day. And I like the idea of having more sets so I can have albums up there.

Matt, what's your address? Maybe we should have a flickr thread somewhere and maybe pin it so people can post their addresses there? At least we can have some contacts. ;)
