Wow, what a great set of macro shots. What strikes me most in that set is the beautiful array of colors!

Hi everyone,

This extended exposure, taken at night on a dock at Canandaigua Lake, shows the flight patterns of many insects as they paint with light from a dock lamp. Note the wing-beating patterns.

And here's a cool video of it as it moves across the room. Note the rocking motion to allow it depth perception, and when it swings its head to see me, that's pretty creepy:
