Yes...those are awesome! We have a pair of beautiful Cardinals who come every day to our feeder right outside my back door...but they always come just before it gets light outside...or right after the sun is set...they don't like to come when I can take good photos...and they spook very easily...just have to go near the glass doors and they bolt! Such beautiful birds.

Thanks guys. I'm not sure how they survive the cold, I suppose they just wing it.
It was pretty overcast and snowy and I was surprised that I was able to shoot as fast as I was at f6.3 and 400 ISO. I guess all that snow reflecting the light helps.

These are not from this winter, but from when I was brave enough to venture out in the cold. Maybe in a few days when it's in the 50's...

During the spring, summer, and fall when I walked by this place I never saw more than the barest trickle of water over the rocks and stones. More times than not it looked completely dry.

Really great shot of the deer at the feeder, Shutbug. We had to move our feeder up a few more feet because the deer were wiping out the seen overnight every time we filled it! Great capture.
And the Cardinal is also a very pretty photo...nice and clear.
Jeduthan... that's a great shot of the frozen stream...probably the snow melted a week or so ago when we had that thaw and started flowing through the creek...and then froze here again this past week.
Very lovely.
