The flowers will be just fine. The damage comes when the heavy snowy slush builds up on, and weighs down, the leafed out and budded branches and snaps them off. :cry:
A crisis to some. But another way to look at it is, Mother Nature's way of pruning. Younger bushes would have fared far better than the older, more brittle ones. (Hey, just like us humans, right?)
