I can't be the only one who went out yesterday to shoot the supermoon. I had about 10min before the moon set into the clouds. I had the moonrise time wrong and i was an hour early. After waiting and not seeing the moon we jumped in the car and was just about to leave when the glow showed over the horizon. So a quick dash back to my spot and i captured a few images. A little noisy for cropping in but ok for the quick time to set up and shot.

Love those super moon shots...Eddiebauer. Wonderful.
I was at our cottage on Lake Ontario for the night and set up to take a moonrise over an island but it ended up that low lying clouds obscured the moon until it was higher in the sky...so I was only able get a full moon in a dark sky...but it was the first time I figured out how to do that.

haha! thanks Kelly.
I figured out that a telephoto lens helps! ...even though I only have the minimum - 55-250mm ... makes a big difference.
I still want to capture something in the foreground ...trees, buildings...horizon of some kind...so that's my next challenge.
