As a point of reference, I'm new to wine - but have sort of taken up trying as many New York state wines as I can - a few per week. As a newbie, I prefer the sweeter ones, but from what people tell me - there will likely be some shift as I develop a wine palate. I'm not there yet, but I do find myself saying some are just too sweet. Maybe I'm on my way.

For now:

Well, I can cross back tattoo off my WishList now. These tire tracks look to be pretty permanent. One hell of a bus.

Swedish Hill - Svenska White 3/5

It was OK, but it wasn't like "eating fresh grapes right off the vine" like the label boasts. Not much to it.

Svenska White used to be one of my "go to" wines back in my days of sweet whites. I've actually gone too far in the other direction now, and I need to develop a greater appreciation for some of the better local whites. I find that the more pairing events that I participate in really helps. This coming weekend is the annual Chocolate & Wine Weekend on the Seneca Wine Trail.

Riesling Semi

KAPOW! This white has a kick and so much more flavor than the other Rieslings I have tried. I definite winner in my book, and the third Chateau LaFayette Reneau wine I have been impressed with.

Just a bland riesling. nothing to hoot about here.

Sweet Walter Red
Grape juicy goodness. It's like a welch's cocktail with alcohol. Nothing amazing, but certainly worth the price.

Time to catch up again...definitely slowing down now that the novelty is wearing off.

Tickle Hill Grapeful Red - 2/5

Tickle Hill Sweetie Pie - 3/5

Wagner Alta B - 2/5 - only reason it gets a 2 instead of a O is because it was pretty good with chocolate

Penguin Bay Tuxedo Red - 3/5

Salmon Run Reisling 2010 - 2/5

Hazlitt White Cat - 5/5

Glenora Niagara - 5/5 and probably the best Niagara I've had. :star: :grapes:

Niagara Landing Misty Niagara - 4.5/5 (this evening's selection)
