March Photo Challenge: High Key

The purpose of these challenges is to encourage us to get out and get the best shot of an assigned subject. It's a great way to enhance your photography skills.
Even if you think you take crappy pictures, please join in. Those of you just reading the forum and not posting, this is your chance to join in and show off.

This month's challenge: "High Key"

Only rules:
It has to be taken by you.
It has to be taken in Upstate NY.

A winner will be selected based on the following criteria:
-freshness (have we seen it somewhere before or did you take it just for this challenge? - we prefer the latter!)
-frame
-subject
-creativity
-use of color (or lack thereof)
-uniqueness

My first high key efforts. I have no lighting so when the sun was hitting the bed just right and I saw my kitten there I figured now's my chance.
Not sure what to think but thanks for the challenge Matt!
I used flash and auto bracketing. They were high in camera and I learned some new things.
The last shot is overdone but it cracked me up.

This is new to me....a real challenge to learn something new.
With a little help from my husband (who actually studied photography and knows WAY more than I do about cameras) here is my first attempt to use this technique.
(BTW ... these flowers are the "leftovers" from my Valentine's Day bouquet...still pretty, but fading.)

Just to be clear...my husband didn't help TAKE the picture... just gave me some advice about using "manual" settings on my camera.
