What an awesome place to shoot. Thanks for sharing.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

Sad, eerie and beautiful all at the same time! Wonderful of you to share these!

Wow....all that decay in "7 years", although I'm sure it had started long before it was closed for good....what a shame...the exterior of the building is exquisite...could have been beautiful had it been renovated early on..... Thanks for sharing...appears this shoot was not without a degree of risk...daimonpaul wrote:Hudson was a former mental institution following the Kirkbride plan in Poughkeepsie, Ny. The Admin was closed in 2003. The wards (the ones with all the holes in the floors) had been progressively closed years before that. There have also been several fires including one in 2007 that wiped out the interior of a whole section of the mens wards.Nanspix wrote:Wow....all that decay in "7 years", although I'm sure it had started long before it was closed for good....what a shame...the exterior of the building is exquisite...could have been beautiful had it been renovated early on..... Also yes it was pretty risky, the floors in the wards were spongy between all the holes
