January Photo Challenge: Before and After

Postby Matt » Thu Dec 31, 2009 9:45 pm

The purpose of these challenges is to encourage us to get out and get the best shot of an assigned subject. It's a great way to enhance your photography skills.
Even if you think you take crappy pictures, please join in. Those of you just reading the forum and not posting, this is your chance to join in and show off.

This month's challenge: "Before and After"

Use the IMG3 tag to create rollover images.... images that swap when you roll your mouse over them and then swap back when you remove your mouse.

this is how it is done:
Code: Select all
[img3=http://www.nyfalls.com/posts/test/rpyo11-09-144.jpg]http://www.nyfalls.com/posts/test/rpyo11-09-145.jpg[/img3]

put the link the first image after the IMG3= and before the ]
put the link to the second image between the ] and [

Our Friendly moderators will help make your images into the rollovers if you can't get it to work. Just ask in your post and it will be done.
Not all photos have to be presented in this way.... feel free to be creative.

Only rules:
It has to be taken by you.
It has to be taken in Upstate NY.

A winner will be selected based on the following criteria:
-freshness (have we seen it somewhere before or did you take it just for this challenge - we prefer the latter!)
-frame
-subject
-creativity
-use of color (or lack thereof)
-uniqueness

To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

It is not limited to 2 photos. The "Rollover" feature is, but the contest is certainly not.

Oh thats too bad. I was thinking that a 3 or more picture rollover could be pretty interesting.
