I love the Public Market. It's a great place to people watch and shop at the same time. When I go to the market I always stop at Pappardelle's Pasta booth. They have many flavored pastas available. They are located in the building with the meat and fish. I especially like the spicy thai or the garlic spinach. You can check out their website for the flavors available and some tasty recipes too.

As far as the flea market down the street...I've never really found anything of interest in there. I haven't bothered to stop in there this summer so maybe things have changed, I could only hope anyways.

Bill, I got some Southwest Blend and some Tomato Basil when we were there a couple of weeks ago. It all looks so beautiful the way they display it! :yum:

Great place, the Public Market.
Growing up my Dad took us there just about every Saturday morning, I come from a large family (6 siblings and numerous foster children). Everything in our house had to be bought in large quantities, and the Public Market is a great place for that.

I remember years ago, when I was a kid, Dad would take us into a store in the strip of warehouses where they sold shoes. All of us would take a seat, get fitted, and walk out with a new pair of Converse All Stars. I know that I am dating myself, but does anyone remember the Converse All Star, basically a canvas sneaker-high top-no form of support. In it's day, those were the 'cool' sneakers. Actually, I think that they may still make them.

One booth that I always stop and purchase from is in the winter shed, Hazlan's meats, he makes a great chicken italian sausage. He usually has some cooking for sampling, give it a try next time you are in there.

I enjoy it until I walk by the fish stalls and then I don't enjoy it so much.
