I cannot give up the real name, exact location of this ruin, and/or entry information due to a few reasons. There is an understanding in the Urban Exploration scene that you only share this information privately and not on public forums. This is to keep vandals, scavengers, salvager's out of these PRIVATELY owned buildings and sites. The sites that I post are all posted, if you enter them, you enter at your own risk of injury, death, arrest, jail-time, etc. I post only for your amusement. :-)

This hotel is a beauty! 5 floors, still pretty much 100% intact. Beds, phones, TV's, everything pretty much still there. Think of the movie "The Shining" as you are looking at these photos and what it is like being all alone in this place taking pictures...

Hotel Adler - Hurt Video - http://youtu.be/teVUN956AlY A video I produced set to the music of NIN/Johnny Cash

Brief History:
Hotel Adler Spa - Eastern New York State

The Adler Hotel was a 150-room, five-story hotel in Sharon Springs, New York that was operated from 1929 until 2004. Known for its therapeutic sulfur baths, it catered primarily to a Jewish clientele who travelled to Sharon Springs in the summers. Ed Koch worked as a busboy at the hotel in 1946. It is also known as the Hotel Adler Spa.

Reality Show, Cable TV, and Movie Location

In 2009 and 2010 Sharon Springs became the location for the documentary television series "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" on Planet Green television network. During the last 10 years, Sharon Springs has also figured prominently in episodes of The Food Network's "$40 A Day" and "Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels" series. The only feature movie to be filmed in Sharon Springs was 1970's horror cult classic, I Drink Your Blood, now available on DVD.

Those are awesome Andy! I love the video too

How long ago did you visit? It looks like you visited just weeks after they closed their doors.
“There’s an inconsequentiality to our lives that living in the wilderness shows up. Mountain are real, they set their limits, they set ours. They expose us, make us vulnerable and strong at the same time. “

July 7th 2010. It was 105F there and probably one of the most difficult entries and shoots I have ever been on. At that time the hotel had been closed for 6 years. And I cannot believe that it is just sitting there rotting. In a recent shoot that I saw from there, windows are now broken and the elements are getting in. It is a wood structure so death will be swift now.. so sad.

That's fantastic! All of it! I love how the the furniture is so intact... it's great that vandals haven't destroyed everything.

This gem is fairly protected. Only a few will help you with entry.
