I signed up for the one in Ithaca. I wanted to do one of these two years ago. Then last year. And both times it was on a Saturday and I had to work. This year, he made it so it could be Saturday or Sunday and the one in Ithaca is on a Sunday, so I'm hoping things won't get messed up and I'll be able to do it. Looking forward to it!

Anyone else going to do this? The Rochester walk still has plenty of room. Unless it rains, I'll be going. Sounds like fun. Kyle and Jess? Bill? David?

Matt - here's a link to the one in Chengdu. http://worldwidephotowalk.com/walk/chengdu-sichuan-china/

I would go just to visit the Lazy Pug.

I decided against it when i realized how poor of a choice the leader in Chengdu made.
I got the paper this morning and the headline translated to roughly "holy shit china has too many people"
the stats for the Oct 1st holiday travel: 10 million by air, 4.7 million by train, 23 million by car. Chance of getting a taxi: near impossible.
This being a holiday akin to the 4th of July, and the meeting place being a public square and subway transportation hub, my guess was that there could be a hundred thousand in the square alone.

Bummer.
Ours is tomorrow. 25 people are signed up - don't recognize a one.
Cold, I can take - but not rain. We'll see.

With just under 2 hours til the walk, I took my name off the list. On what should be a gorgeous fall day, it's 42 - raining - blowing and "feels like" 36. I can't make myself go out the door.

Nope, I forgot all about it. I am nursing my sore legs. We did a 24 hour trip to the ADKS, 10 hours in the car, 12 hours hiking 4 high peaks, and two hours eating.

I hold no grudges against Mother Nature - she always makes up for it with days like today. Glorious! :pumpkin: :leaf: And it's not like I can't walk around High Falls by myself, right?
