We never did get together for another light painting meeting....just saying....

Polar Plunge and Winter Fest are coming up in a couple of weeks. Although, at this rate...there might not be anything "polar" about it.

I have several questions about the "meetups" that are planned. How many people usually go on an outing? What time of day would you like to start? How much time does everyone need to photograph several waterfalls in the same area?
The reason being: I would like to go back to a previous private property and take updated photos. This place is located about 45 minutes south-west of my house in Plainville NY. We need to take at least two cars because I only hike downhill in my current health condition. I would leave my car at bottom and ride to top with some else. The hike is 1.5 miles long. I will check with owners to make sure we can park a couple of cars in their driveway on that day.

It's been a while since we had meetups. But we used to have a letchworth hike every early spring.
It didn't happen because of my job loss, but I would like to shift it to fall, which should get us some great pics as well.

we always go in thinking we are going to make the trek tot he destination and back, but typically opt for a ride.
It's more about chatting, eating awesome beef jerky, and taking pics.
I enjoy meetups and wish we can organize more.

As far as how strenuous... letchworth is up and downhill.

Umm... I was thinking of the proposing a hike along the keuka outlet trail for fall as well. That's a ways, but it is along a towpath - so mostly level. We would have to coordinate a pickup-because there isn't enough daylight to go back. People could also arrange pickups at the various trailheads along the way if they don't want to hike the length.

Thanks Matt! I'll keep it in mind too. I will contact some of the other members in the Syracuse area to see if someone wants to go locally? After Aug. 21st., I'll be laid up for 3 to 6 weeks getting back on my feet from a injury recovery.
