I was out on a delivery in Marcellus, and found out that "Pleasant Valley Rd." is closed to through traffic. The reason is that disappearing lake is now 30 feet deep. Which is way above normal this year! If you enter Pleasant valley road from route 174, it's closed 2 miles down - road under two feet of water as of Monday 5/04/2011.

I was in Marcellus, NY yesterday. This lake was "bone dry" ! The first photo is looking south east towards the same area as my previous post. Second one is looking south and the third is looking south west.
