You might need to get use to wearing that suit. Between the two NY websites you have helped promote NY tourism. As an out-of-state user, I have traveled to NY because of the information found on this website. I am not much of a writer but I will give it a shot. Good luck!

I couldn't wear a suit every day. I would just end up getting one tattooed on.

I had a great meeting over at Algonquin Studios in Buffalo.
No job, but the CEO there is really a great guy and has referred me to some companies in the Buffalo area.

No go on the CEO for the tourism industry association - oh well.
I got a nice message from Xerox saying I'm overqualified for their openings, but if they have a manager opening upcoming, they will call.

I got an offer for a job in Buffalo. Relocation this month.. but it's a 20k pay reduction from my last job. It's still on the table, but I'm not sure if I want to start again entry level... and relocate for that. Cool company though.

NYS unemployment continues to f- me over. I haven't seen a dime, and I spend a good part of this morning re-filing with all the same info. I have paid into the system since 14 years old. Never needed it until now, and I get screwed over.

Side note:
Is there anyone in Rochester that knows HTML/CSS/JS and would like to do contract work for Xerox through a very cool talent agency?
20hr/week to start... then possibility for full hire..

Years ago I was out of work from a downsizing. I went to a "staff agency" and they found me a job. I worked full time for another company for 90 day on probation, then got hired as their full time employee. The staff agency gave me almost what I made at my last job. I don't know if you got these types of agencies near you? That really sucks that you're over qualified for that position.

I had a great week so far with interviews every day. The jobs range from sales and marketing to It administration.
In a few hours I will be interviewing for a management position at a very cool gaming company here in Rochester.
I spent all night playing games to prepare. ;)
