It's pretty ingenious, but the problem I have is that I don't enjoy a boiled hot dog or sausage.
I might try it using hot Italian sausage and after boilong, pan fry to get a little sear on that meat, and it probably would not harm the pasta if done hot and fast enough. Then I would add pasta sauce. I will try and report back.
